Transcend the ego

There's no organ system in the body that is not affected by sound, music and vibration. You can look at disease as a form of disharmony.

- Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, M.D.

Sound Healing at Open Heart Therapy Inc.

What: A peaceful evening of relaxation and restoration. Repair a state of dis-ease within the mind, body and soul while experiencing the vibrations of sound bowls, an ancient tibetan technology dating back approximately 2,500 years. The bowls are composed of Quartz Crystal, which when played, emit a high frequency vibration. The bowls are also individually tuned to frequencies that correspond to the seven energy centres (chakras) of the body. Exposure to the sounds causes the centres to open, balance and release blockages, allowing the universal life force (chi) to flow through the body's energetic meridians, promoting healing.

Where: The bowls are played by Trinity, Reiki Master and owner of Open Heart Therapy Inc. located in Balzac, AB., at a cozy acreage setting near Cross Iron Mall.

How: Similar to the modern technology of binaural beats, as one listens to the harmony of sounds of the bowls, the left and right hemispheres of the brain are synchronized into a state of limbic resonance, the brain wave activity slows down to a restorative state called theta, and the parasympathetic nervous system is engaged causing a shift in the body from a state of fight/flight to a state of rest/repair. As change begins to take place on a cellular level, after a session, people often report feeling lighter, more clear minded, less tense, and significantly calmer. The short video below illustrates the molecular impact of vibration through sound.

Dr. Emoto's research demonstrates the effect of vibrational energy, in the form of thoughts, words, and music, on the molecular structure of water. Up to 70% of the average adult human body is water.

When: Sunday evenings from 7:00-8:00 pm. Bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow to rest and relax while experiencing the harmony of sounds. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Please avoid the use of fragrances on behalf of those who may be sensitive. Please register below for upcoming dates.
